"Creating and Destroying the Rules of Dance"
with Djahari - Director of Desert Sin

An introduction to Desert Sin's fearless approach to dance theater.

Through guided exploration understand how, when, and why to break the laws
of dance, while formulating ways of constructing new and meaningful rules
in order to dance outside of your training. Explore movement as emotion
and how to communicate a dance narrative effectively with an audience
using character development and an expanded facial vocabulary. In this
class expect a fun, safe environment where we push past our comfort zones
-- Desert Sin loves pushing past the "pretty dancer" mentality and dares
you to get "uncomfortable". Come ready to be adventurous, fearless, and
open-minded and walk away with a stronger ability to create meaningful
performance material in your own unique style that will captivate your
audience and make you stand out from the rest!
